New user.

I am having issues connecting the gateway and using HTTP strings to connect to a SMSC.

It states in the gateway you can connect via HTTP to a provider instead of SMPP. Where can this be configured?

Regards,

You can only connect to VisualGSM gateway via HTTP but not from VisualGSM to the SMS provider. Most major providers today support SMPP. May I ask which provider are you using?

Our gateway provider supports SMPP but our application interface requires to send login strings over HTTP to connect from the VisualGSM to the SMSC Gateway i.e. instead of utlizing SMPP protocols.

Can this achived via on VisualGSM? i.e. without the requirement of SMMP.

Thanks. You can do this:

Your application --> over HTTP --> VisualGSM --> over SMPP --> SMSC Gateway

Your application --> over HTTP --> SMSC Gateway

But you can't do this:

Your application --> VisualGSM --> over HTTP --> SMSC Gateway

VisualGSM SMS Gateway.
