Late Beta Release for VisualGSM Enterprise Server v4.5.2b!


VisualGSM Enterprise version 4.5.2b will replace version 4.1.3b (please see previous announcement for v4.1.3b).

Version 4.5.2b adds native SMPP 3.3/3.4 RX/TX support with enquire link, delivery receipt, unicode, and WAP Push capability*, support for the latest databases - MySQL 5.0, MSSQL 2005, and Oracle 10g, along with miscellaneous improvements and fixes for bugs found in v4.1.3b and previous versions.

This patch to upgrade your VisualGSM Enterprise installation to version 4.5.2b can now be downloaded from http://www.visualtron.com/visualgsm/patch/patch.exe. Alternatively, if you wish to install an evaluation version, you can download the new installer (incorporating the latest updates) from http://www.visualgsm.com/download.htm.


Important for Registered/Existing Users!

If you are a registered VisualGSM user and you are on support plan (all purchases come with free one year support), download and apply the patch on a registered server. After upgrading, click on Help/Registration menu to access online registration. The online registration system will automatically issue you with a new license key for the new version.

If you are not on support plan or your registration data is not found in our online system, you may email support@visualtron.com to request for an upgrade.

2. Added support for failover to next available COMMMETHOD for SMPP interface.

4. Added support for improved database processing performance by allowing user to reduce the number of records fetched each time by increasing the "delay between SMS interval".
5. Added support for Windows 2003 Server and XP Service Pack 2.
6. Added import/export phonebook group from text file.
7. Added batch allocate phonebook users to groups by department.
8. Upgraded MySQL database component to support MySQL 5.0.

Registration and Evaluation
1. New "activation code" based online registration system.

Bug Fixes

1. Fixed problem in which concatenated WAP Push messages sent to a cellphone are missing.
2. Fixed problem in which Windows cannot logoff when SMPP features are enabled.
3. Fixed delivery report action and emergency broadcast bug for Oracle.
4. Fixed CoInitialize bug when MSSQL is used.
5. Fixed delivery report bug in which some types of delivery reports are not captured.
6. Fixed database bug in which messages are repeatedly resent when the record cannot be updated.
7. Fixed csend.exe bug for Windows 2003 Servers.
